Digging Up my Blue Hydrangea

This is a close up of one of my blue hydrangea blossoms. I am going to attempt to dig this plant up this weekend. Probably Sunday while DH is at work. Megan and Ken gave me this hydrangea about 3 years ago for Mother's Day. It is just beautiful this year! I think all the Spring rain helped that. I also have to dig up my climbing red rose. I bought this rose from Antique Rose Emporium in Texas. I love this rose. It will look absolutely wonderful up against the garage (which is white). I have a black wrought iron trellis that goes behind it. My lavendar plant died (the one I transplanted from the old house to the new). I love lavendar, so I told John I'm going to buy a new one this weekend. Maybe I'll get 2, they should be reasonable this time of year. I'm also thinking of making some jewelry. I will have to sort through and find all my jewelry things but I really miss creating. I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Remember all the soldiers who are fighting for our freedom and say a prayer for them!

Friday will be my house finishing touches day!

Last night I found a few more things in the garage that I want to bring into the house. Then maybe I can park my car in the garage-YAY!! I found some pictures that I had in the house in NJ that will work in this house. I also want to bring my glass conservatory on a stand into my dining room. I then will need to go to Lowe's to buy some houseplants to put in there. Or maybe John and I will go to King's Nursery and get some houseplants there. I love going there and I haven't been there in a year! I also want to bring some books in from the boxes in the garage. I think John and I will put the Christmas boxes in the attic too. Maybe the garage will actually be a garage and not a storage bay. There is so much to be done once you move and then having company for 5 days a week after you move really slows things down. I'm also thinking of changing the color of the dining room. The owner said we can paint anything we want. The red they painted it seems to be closing the room in. The same with the half bath downstairs they painted the same red. I really like the color green Megan painted her living room. She told me I would have to prime the red walls probably twice or buy KILZ to cover it. The townhouse is working out just wonderful though-we both really love living there!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Family made it back home safe and sound!

My Mom called and said the trip home went fine. My poor sister found out her husband was cheating on her on the way home though. Poor thing! Keep her in your prayers everyone. I am getting back into a normal routine and eating better than when they were here. Last night I read some more of Julie & Julia, watched some TV and then chatted with John when he came home. Everyone have a wonderful day!

My family is on their way home and I am trying to get back to normal!

I love my family but sometimes a visit is just too long. My Mom was wonderful but my sister was such a complainer, demanding, self centered and just not a very nice person to be around. My nephew had a great time with Teddy and enjoyed all the places we went to. I am ready to get back on my schedule now and I'm even ready to go back to work! Yes back to work! I did have 2 phone calls from work on Wednesday-it is nice to be missed! On Wednesday we went to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and it was just gorgeous. Here are some pics from that visit.

This was the outside of the pergola as you began the self-guided tour through the botanical garden.

The walk through the Pergola in the beginning of the self guided tour was so beautiful. It was also nice and cool under there.

This was a bronze statue and a small fountain on the way to the White Garden.

These cone flowers were just beautiful waving in the slight breeze along the path.

This is my sister, Sue and my nephew, Troy. They aren't used to the heat down here so they stopped along the way to catch the mist coming off one of the fountains.

This was an odd plant growing there. I still don't know what it is. The botanical sign was missing. I thought it was kind of neat!

There were many varieties of hibiscus, but I loved this white one the best.

There was a lot of Rudebeckia growing. I think these are absolutely beautiful!

Here are some fountains at the gardens. There are a total of 13.

This was a bird aviary right before the topiary gardens. There were 2 pairs of parrots in there. My nephew tried to make them talk but they were silent that day.

These topiaries were at the end of the garden tour and my nephew was fascinated by them.

I will have more pictures for you another day!
